OUR PARTNERS

Working Together

We don't work alone. Through trusted local partnerships, we deliver education, healthcare and family support in the communities that need it most.

Working Locally. Creating Lasting Change.

Local knowledge. Local leadership. Lasting impact.

We believe that lasting change in Africa is most effectively achieved when solutions are developed with local communities, led by people who understand them, and supported by organisations committed to their long-term success.

In our earlier years, much of our work involved providing direct support to individual children and families. This enabled us to respond to immediate needs and make a tangible difference in people's lives. Over time, however, we have recognised that delivering effective and sustainable support requires more than good intentions and financial resources alone.

Local communities have their own cultures, challenges, priorities and ways of working. The legal, regulatory and safeguarding requirements governing charitable activities have also become increasingly complex. Meeting these responsibilities requires local knowledge, established relationships and a continuing presence on the ground.

That is why we increasingly work through trusted local delivery partners.

These organisations understand the communities they serve. They are better placed to identify genuine needs, build relationships with families, navigate local requirements and deliver practical solutions that are culturally appropriate and sustainable.

Our role is to provide funding, strategic support and oversight, working alongside our partners to ensure that resources are used responsibly and that the people we seek to help remain at the heart of everything we do.

This approach also allows us to look beyond immediate relief towards longer-term solutions: helping children access education, supporting families to become more self-sufficient, developing practical skills and creating opportunities for communities to build a better future.

We recognise that partnership does not remove our responsibility. We remain committed to accountability, transparency, safeguarding and understanding the difference our support makes.

We cannot transform communities from a distance. But by working alongside people who understand them, we can help create the conditions in which lasting change becomes possible.
